Stefan Dormans (Heerlen, 1976) studied Human Geography at the Radboud University Nijmegen. In the period 2001-2007, he was both a junior lecturer and a PhD-student in urban and narrative geographies at the Human Geography department of the Radboud University Nijmegen. His dissertation entailed a narrative analysis of urban tales from two medium-sized Dutch cities. From 2008 until 2010, Stefan worked as a postdoc researcher on academic collaboration at the Virtual Knowledge Studio for the Humanities and Social Sciences (VKS) of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). Since September 2009, Stefan works as an Assistant Professor at the Planning department of the Radboud University Nijmegen. Currently, his main reserach project is on the Slow Food movement.
